Carol Cook

My name is Carol Cook - I am the founder of Don't Shout Out.

I am a CODA (Child Of Deaf Adults). I am extremely passionate about Deaf issues and the problems faced by Deaf people on a daily basis.

I am an extremely successful tutor of British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf Awareness courses and have been able to bring my own experiences to the courses I deliver.

In both 2009 and 2010, I was awarded the Signature East Of England Teacher Of The Year Award in recognition of my dedication, enthusiasm and achivement throughout my teaching.

This highlights the quality and professionalism of the teaching which we bring to all our courses and workshops.

Our aims at Don't Shout Out are:

  • To promote Deaf Awareness to those who may need to communicate with a deaf person

  • To improve the understanding of The Equality Act 2010 in relation to deaf people and the need to comply with that act

  • To provide British Sign Language (BSL) courses from an Introductory Level through to the Signature Level 3 BSL Qualification
